A guide for Constellation administrators managing product and recipe site assignments.

Constellation Product and Recipe assignment should be reviewed any time product offerings are added or changed in the company. More information about products and recipes in Constellation can be found on the Kahler Automation Knowledge Base.
Assigning Product to a site
A product should be assigned to a site any time it is required to fulfil orders at that site. In the case of 32-0-0, this is commonly done so that orders may request the product. In the case of 28-0-0 being blended on demand, 32-0-0 will be controlled by Constellation in Terminal Management TMX, but available to be used in the recipe.
Site operators may refer to Product Configuration in Terminal Management TMX with Constellation to complete the process. This article describes the final steps to make a product dispensable on-site.
Assigning a Recipe to a Site
A recipe should be assigned to a site anytime the site needs more direct control of product delivery, especially where the fulfilment of an item on an order may vary from site to site.
In the case of 28-0-0, a recipe would be assigned to sites, in addition to the Constellation products for “28-0-0 (bulk)”, “32-0-0” and “Water”, to allow those that have a tank of 28-0-0 utilize the tank. Meanwhile, those that instead have a tank of 32-0-0 would be able to blend that with water to deliver the requested 28-0-0.
Assigning products in this way allows a Constellation administrator to maintain control over Terminal Management TMX products and bulk products, and provided more information in Constellation about inventory usage, while minimizing product management tasks in Terminal Management TMX for site operators.

Mapping
Linking a product from an Agronomy/ERP to a product or recipe in Constellation is referred to as mapping. This process is required for orders to automatically import into Constellation and be linked to one or more sites.
The mapping process varies depending on the system being connected to and the method of connecting. Contact Kahler Automation Support Department for assistance.
When mapping an item, the Constellation administrator should link the Agronomy/ERP item to the Constellation product or recipe used to fulfill the requested amount. If any items on an order are not mapped, the order will not be imported until the issue is resolved.
