Products may be assigned to a selection of sites. Products are a 1:1 product/bulk product record on a site. Density may be controlled in Constellation or on-site on a per product basis.
Constellation products differ from TMX products, which are always 1:1 product-to-bulk product relationships. In comparison, Constellation recipes create only the Terminal Management TMX product, and the product blend must be configured on-site.
Constellation products should be used any time the line item in an order will be dispensed directly on all connected sites. Recipes can be used where a line item does not present a single dispensed product out of inventory at one or more sites. A common example of this is 28%, which a site may have stored in a tank, or can blend on demand from 32% and water.
Create a Product
Create a product by opening the Products page and clicking “Create Product”. Fill in information for the product and click “Create and Assign”. Select the sites where the product record will be used and then click “Assign”. The change synchronizes out to all assigned sites and becomes available to use in orders.
Once a product has been created in Constellation and synchronized out to all sites, operators then need to create Panel Bulk Product Settings to for their site to make it dispensable.
Note: Density may optionally be controlled per product in either Constellation or on-site. Density controlled in Constellation will be the same for all connected sites and cannot be modified by site operators.
