Recipes

Recipes may be assigned to a selection of sites. Recipes create a product in TMX but do not create a bulk product. Sites must configure bulk products and recipes before use.

Recipes can be used where a line item does not present a single dispensed product out of inventory at one or more sites. A common example of this is 28%, which a site may have stored in a tank, or can blend on demand from 32% and water, and at least one site is blending 28% as needed.

Best practice when using Constellation recipes is to assign all products used in the recipe to a site first, so that when the recipe is set up on-site the bulk products are all available.

Create a Recipe

Create a recipe by opening the Recipe page and clicking “Create Recipe”. Fill in information for the recipe and click “Create and Assign”. Select the sites where the recipe record will be used and then click “Assign”. The change synchronizes out to all assigned sites and becomes available to use in orders.

Once a recipe has been created in Constellation and synchronized out to all sites, operators will then need to finish the product creation by adding bulk products. If bulk products are reused from Constellation products, the process of configuring the Panel Bulk Product Settings does not need to be repeated. If bulk products are created instead of being reused, the operator needs to configure the Panel Bulk Product Settings for their site to make it dispensable.
