The process for setting up recipes for blending on demand on Constellation-connected Terminal Management TMX systems has changed. This article describes the steps on-site operators are required to complete.

Note: This article applies to Constellation Recipes assigned to a site. For Constellation Products, see Product Configuration in Terminal Management TMX with Constellation for direction.
When Constellation is connected to a site, product creation and updates are handled centrally, but some configuration is required on-site. This article covers using the Product setup tool to configure the recipe of Constellation-controlled products, enabling a system to dispense orders containing these products.
Note: Constellation terminology for products and recipes has shifted from Terminal Management TMX.
- A Constellation Product creates both a Product and Bulk product in Terminal Management TMX and does not allow an order item to be blended on demand, requiring the product in inventory.
- A Constellation Recipe creates only a product in Terminal Management TMX and allows a site to blend an order item on demand.

Best practice for configuring and using Constellation Recipes is for all items in a recipe to be assigned to a site as Constellation products. This keeps the required Terminal Management TMX bulk products controlled by Constellation, reducing on-site configuration. In the example of 28-0-0, Constellation Products of 32-0-0 and Water, and the Constellation recipe of 28-0-0, are assigned to a site. The operator configures 32-0-0 and Water as products (see “Product configuration in Terminal Management TMX with Constellation”) and uses this guide to configure the recipe of 28-0-0 to use the bulk products.
Recipe Setup
Constellation Recipes assigned to a site create the product in Terminal Management TMX; the Product Setup Tool shows options available to site operators.
- Navigate to the “Products” section of Terminal Management TMX.
The Product Setup tool is this section’s default page. - Click the “Edit Existing Product” button.
- Select the Product from the list created by Constellation.
- The search bar is available to find specific products more easily.

- Constellation Recipes proceed to the “Recipes” page of the Product Setup tool.
- Click “Add Recipe” for the facility.
Configure the recipe
For each of the bulk products to add to the recipe:
- Click the dropdown “Select a bulk product”.
- Select the first bulk product of the recipe.
- Click the arrow.
- Enter the percentage of total (By Weight) the bulk product should be.
- Click “Add”.
- The recipe’s final total should be 100%.
Applying changes
Once the recipe is entered and totals to 100%, apply the changes by finishing and saving the Product Setup tool.
- Click “Next”.
- Bulk Product Panel Settings page is now displayed. Changes to the Panel Bulk Product Settings can be made but may already be configured from setting up the bulk products (see “Product Configuration in Terminal Management TMX with Constellation”).
- Click “Next”.
- The Summary screen is now displayed.
- Click “Save” to apply all changes.
