Constellation AgVantage Integration - Customers

The AgVantage Integration imports and updates customers from AgVantage as they are used in orders.

Customers are synchronized with Constellation as they are referenced on Orders. When an Order is ready for import, the first thing the integration does is synchronize the Customer.

Customers are matched by their Account Number. This maps to the CustomerID in AgVantage. For example, Customer with ID 123:

  • If no Customer with AccountNumber 123 is found in Constellation, a new Customer is created
  • If ONE Customer with AccountNumber 123 is found in Constellation, it will be updated with the latest Customer information from AgVantage (if any changes have been made)
  • If more than one Customers with AccountNumber 123 are found in Constellation,
    • If any has the same Name as the Customer being synchronized, that one will be updated
    • If none have the same Name as the Customer being synchronized, a new Customer is created
