This article describes how to use Container Filling 2 to fill a container and some of the pre-requisites to do so.
Applies to:
- Container Filling 2
To fill a container, move it to the container fill loadout scale and scan its barcode to select it in Container Filling 2. A container is fillable if the “Fill” button is shown at the top right of the window. Reasons a container cannot be filled are Maximum volume not set, Inspection not passed, or the container is not marked as refillable. A container’s Product must also be set, or clicking ”Fill” will warn the operator and prevent filling.
With the container ready to fill, click the “Fill” button to move to the container fill screen. The container will default its “Fill quantity” to top off the container to its full capacity.
Always check that the current weight of the container matches the scale reading, otherwise the container may overflow.
If more than one discharge location is available, select the discharge location to use.
Finally, click the “Fill” button when ready to begin. This sends the order to the system, but no product will be dispensed until the “Start Compartment” button is pressed.
If using a deck scale to record container weight, be aware of leaning anything on the container or scale as this may result in unexpected behavior such as under- or over-filling.
