Updating Subscription Software

This article gives how-to guidance on updating subscription software. Note that updates may change the appearance of, or user interaction with, the software.

Common Cause(s)

Updates are made available whenever added features or bug fixes are released.

Environment/Applies to 

  • All subscription software products:
    • Server Software:
      • Terminal Management TMX
      • Interface software, such as Agris, Agvance, CHS, Oakland, SoilMap, etc.
    • Loadout Software:
      • Plant Supervisor PSX
      • Self Serve 2
      • KA-2025 Panel Server
      • Bulk Product Receiving
      • Container Filling 2
      • TM2 Staged Order Viewer
      • Truck Scale Management

Note: Installing updates will require an administrator account. If access to administrator accounts is restricted, refer to your manager or company IT.

Note: Installing updates for loadout software may require the use of a Terminal Management TMX account with the application configuration permission. See Setting up Users and Permissions in Terminal Management for more information.

Updating Server Software

  1. On the computer where the program is installed, look in the Program List for Kahler Automation.
  2. Click the update for the appropriate software. See the image below for an example of Kahler Automation in a Program List.
  3. If an update is available, the option to update will be presented as in the image below.

    Note: Clicking “Update” will prompt for an administrator account to continue, and may require IT to assist.

    Updating Loadout Software

    For loadout software such as Plant Supervisor PSX and Self Serve 2, updates can be initiated from the configuration menu. To do so:

    1. Click the configuration wrench icon ().
    2. Go to the About
    3. If there is an update available, there will be an “Install Updates” button. See the image below for examples of Self serve 2 and Plant Supervisor PSX.

    If no updates are available there will instead be a “Check For Updates” button, as seen in the image below. Click it to force a check for any updates.
