Running orders together in a single dispense operation can increase your system’s speed and accuracy. Order Comparison Tolerance allows orders with similar product ratios to be regarded as compatible when rounding may have adjusted amounts slightly.
Orders may be run together using Load Optimizer in Plant Supervisor PSX, combining orders in Plant Supervisor PSX, staging orders in Terminal Management TMX, or other features.
Note: This assumes that the default “Use Order Percents” is enabled. Behavior of some features may vary when “Use Order Percents” is disabled.
For orders to be considered compatible, all products included must exactly match the first selected order; products will then be checked if they are within the tolerance (%) of the order. Product Percents are calculated using this formula:
Order Comparison Tolerance defaults to a value of 1%. This allows for similar orders to be treated the same, regardless of minor differences due to rounding.
Adjusting the Order Comparison Tolerance (%) Setting
The Order Comparison Tolerance (%) is found in Terminal Management TMX. Once logged in, select the “General Settings” option from the blue bar on the left, then the “Order” tab across the top, as shown in the screenshot.
Caution: Changing the Order comparison tolerance (%) may result in undesired behavior. Higher values will allow more dissimilar orders to be combined, while lower values may result in overly strict comparisons. A default value of 1% is recommended.
