This article lists the common considerations when converting a Terminal Management TMX site over to a Constellation site.
Preparing Constellation
The customer's Constellation administrator should assign all products and orders they would like available at the site before it is registered. This will allow Constellation to pre-assign as many products as possible upon initial registration, rather than be handled one-by-one as they're assigned.
Preparing Terminal Management TMX
A Constellation site is required to be mapped to a single owner within Terminal Management TMX. This means any products, customers, or destinations assigned to "All owners" in TMX must be reassigned to one owner prior to conversion. The Constellation Connector can do this either during pre-assignment or the syncing process.
If an "All owners" product, customer, or destination is assigned to multiple orders that span several owners, one of the following options must be performed to avoid conflicts:
- Delete all orders that reference that record and are assigned to owners other than Constellation (expunge is not necessary). For example, Constellation is registered as Owner A, and Urea is assigned to all owners and is listed on orders for Owner A and Owner B. All orders for Owner B must be deleted to allow Urea to be taken over.
- Rename the existing all owners record so that it no longer conflicts with the record coming from Constellation and allow the Constellation Connector to create the record under the Constellation owner.
