Control denied

In systems where multiple processes share equipment, one process may prevent another process from occurring, which may result in a control denied error.

Last Updated: 3/5/2021

Common Causes

  • Two or more processes competing for a shared resource/equipment

Environment / Applies To

  • KA-2000 used with 4000 or 5000 series control panels

Solution Summary

A control denied error can be acknowledged and the process resumed as soon as the other process that is using the shared resource/equipment is finished.

Information about the processes that are in operation are typically available on the human/machine interface (HMI) that is included with a 4000 or 5000 series control panel.
