This document provides guidance on which versions of third party technologies should be used with Kahler Automation software products.
Tip: All acceptable versions are listed for a type of third party technology used by a Kahler Automation system and the recommended version is indicated.
Operating System
Kahler Automation software requires Microsoft Windows. A computer used to host an application like Terminal Management or an interface requires an edition of Windows that is capable of running Internet Information Services (IIS), such as Professional or Server.

Note: Kahler Automation software will not run on Windows Terminal Services (Windows Remote Desktop Services).
Note: Constellation and LoadPass Connectors require Windows 10 or above. If the Terminal Management TMX machine is not currently running Windows 10 or above, contact Kahler Automation Service Department for assistance and next steps.
.NET Framework
Kahler Automation software requires Microsoft's .NET Framework.

SQL Server
Terminal Management uses SQL Server to store data. Any edition (e.g. Express, Standard, etc.) of the versions of SQL Server listed below are acceptable.
Note: the Express edition of SQL Server may include functional limitations that may limit the functionality of the Kahler Automation software (e.g., storage limits may limit the amount of historic data that may be retained).

Web Browser
