Plant Supervisor PSX - Product Dispense Sequence
How Plant Supervisor PSX sequences products during a load and what controls that dispense sequence.
Applies To
- Plant Supervisor PSX
- Self Serve 2
When Plant Supervisor PSX executes a blend order, products dispense in the sequence listed on the order. Within a single panel, that sequence is followed directly. Because products are split across multiple panels running in parallel, products on different panels may dispense simultaneously.
The sequence is determined by order item sort priority and the sequence delivered from an interface. For more information, see Interfaces - Order Item Sort Priority.
Products and Panels
An order lists the products to be dispensed. Each product is mapped to a panel at the loadout location. Plant Supervisor PSX assigns each product to its panel. Panels start in rank order but run independently once started. For more information, see Panel Operation Settings.
Panel Rank
Panel Rank is a number assigned to each panel. The panel with the lowest rank number runs first and leads the dispense. Panels with higher rank numbers follow.
Follow By (%)
Follow by (%) determines when a following panel starts, based on the progress of the leading panel. 100% means the following panel waits for the leading panel to finish; 10% means the following panel starts once the leading panel has dispensed 10% of its first product.
A setting in Plant Supervisor PSX controls whether the following panel watches the first or last product on the leading panel. The default is first product.
Hold Threshold
Hold threshold sets an amount remaining on the leading panel at which it will pause if following panels have not finished. Once the following panels are done, the leading panel resumes.
Why a Product May Not Dispense
If a product on an order is not dispensing, check these common causes:
- The product is not mapped to a panel at the loadout location.
- The bulk product is disabled on the panel.
If the order itself is not appearing in Plant Supervisor PSX, see "Missing an order?" Button.
