      No measuring device

      When a meter or scale does not report measurements or reports unusable data a no measuring device error is indicated.

      Common Causes

      • Loss of power to meter/scale
      • Loss of connectivity to meter/scale
      • Meter/scale reporting unusable data
      • Scale reporting under or over range

      Environment / Applies To

      • KA-2000
      • Scale indicators
      • Mass-flow meter transmitters
      • 2555-2 meter input panel

      Solution Summary

      • Verify that the meter/scale is powered on
      • Verify that the meter/scale is connected to the KA-2000

      Note: Meter/scale connectivity varies by model. Some meters/scales connect directly to the KA-2000 while others use an Ethernet network to communicate.

      • Make sure that the meter/scale is operating as expected (e.g., local display indicates an expected reading)
      • Make sure that the meter/scale is not reporting an error

      Once the cause of the no measuring device error is resolved, the error can be acknowledged and the process resumed.
