New product is not showing up in the product list

A recently created product is not presented in the product drop down list on the Order page. I am not able to make an order because the new product is not in the list.

Common Cause(s)

  • The newly created product has not been associated to a bulk product. Without this association the software will not allow the selection of a product in an order because it does not know from what bulk materials the product should be made.

Solution

  1. Open the Product menu item in Terminal Management. 
  2. Select the Products tab.
  3. From the Product drop down menu, select the product.
    • Verify that a Default unit has been configured. If not, do so now.
  4. From the Facility drop down menu, select the facility. This will cause the Bulk product configuration section to be presented.
  5. From the Bulk product drop down menu, select the target bulk product.
  6. In the Percent of total field, enter 100. 
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Save.

The example above demonstrates how to associate a single bulk product. The same steps apply if the product should be comprised of multiple bulk products, just repeat steps 5 and 6. You must adjust the percentages accordingly.
