Mixer Pass-Through
Bulk dispensing of a single product is a common activity, but not all towers are equipped with a direct discharge path for product.
Applies to:
- Dry Towers
Mixer pass-through (sometimes referred to as bypass) is an alternative mode of operation for dry towers, enabling dispensing of single product orders (sometimes called bulk or wholesale) in towers that are not equipped to directly discharge to a transport via weigh hoppers. Pass-through operation preserves product quality by not requiring the normal mix time.
During pass-through operation, the mixer is set to continuously discharge. This means the gates will open, and the mixer will run; running the mixer ensures no product can be left in the mixer.
