When importing orders over an interface, operators may change the sequence in which products are dispensed by adjusting their sort priority.
During the import of an order into Terminal Management TMX from a connected agronomy/ERP system, operators can use the Order Item Sort Priority setting to rearrange the sequence in which products are dispensed. This value can be any positive whole number, where the lowest number has the highest priority.
For example, if product 1 has a priority of 100 and product 2 has a priority of 90, the order created in Terminal Management TMX will list product 2 before product 1.
Order items listed first will tend to dispense from the system first. Products coming from different panels in the system will dispense independently according to the system’s panel configuration.
When assigning Order Item Sort Priority values, it is recommended to assign products to a “series” of numbers that are spaced out. For example, products that should dispense first might be set to priorities 10-19, while the products that follow would have priorities 20-29. Priority numbers may be reused and, in this case, the relative ordering from the agronomy/ERP system will be used.
Setting Order Item Sort Priority
Order Item Sort Priority can be set from Terminal Management TMX in the Products section, but the Interface Items page (see below) allows operators to update Order Item Sort Priority across multiple products at the same time.
- In Terminal Management TMX, navigate to Interface > Interface Items.
- From the “Cross reference type” dropdown at the top of the screen, select “Products”.
- At the right side of the screen under “Target Interface” choose the interface that requires changes.
- For each product displayed on the page, the Order Item Sort Priority can be adjusted.
- Click the “Save” button before leaving the page to record the changes.
- At the bottom of the page, the items per page or current page may be selected.
Order Item Sort Priority is only applied when orders are brought into Terminal Management TMX. Changing priorities will not affect orders already imported.
