How to check if your server has Microsoft SQL Server 2025 (64-bit)

An SQL Server's version can influence performance. Follow these directions to check what version you have installed.

To check if Microsoft SQL Server 2025 (64-bit) is installed on your server, look at the list of installed applications on that machine.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Click the “Apps” link.
  3. Click the “Installed apps” link.
  4. Search for “Microsoft SQL Server 2025”. If installed, it is listed. If not listed, you should see “Microsoft SQL Server 2022” installed instead.
