Solution In-Depth
Note: This article assumes that both the panel and bulk product have already been created and are available in Terminal Management.
Note: To perform the following steps, you must be logged in as a user with permission to view or modify panels and modify panel bulk product settings.
1. Login to Terminal Management
2. Click the “Panels” navigation link (on the left side of the page)
3. Click the “Panel Bulk Product Settings” tab
4. Select the panel that will dispense the bulk product in the “Panel” drop-down list
Tip: The “Facility” drop-down list can be used to limit the number of panels displayed in “Panel” drop-down list to only panels used by a selected facility.
5. Select the bulk product from the “Bulk products” drop-down list
6. Click the “Add” button
Under the “Panel settings for bulk product” section:
7. Select the panel function that will be used to dispense the product from the “Panel function” drop-down list
Tip: The “hand-add” panel function can be used if the bulk product is manually dispensed or is prepackaged. When the panel is asked to dispense a bulk product that has been setup as a hand-add, the panel will pause and wait for confirmation that the product was manually dispensed and how much was dispensed.
Tip: The relationship between a product function number and the equipment that is controlled when a panel executes the product function depends on panel’s capabilities. The panel may include additional configuration that maps “Product 1” to specific hardware (e.g. pump, valves, bin gates, weigh-hoppers, etc.).
8. Enter any panel-specific settings (start parameter, finishing parameter, anticipation, etc.)
9. Click the “Save” button
The panel is now able to dispense the bulk product.
