Checking IP Configuration
Finding local network settings for a machine is sometimes necessary. "ipconfig" is a command to find those settings if they are not known

Site has new or replaced equipment that needs to be added to the network

- Windows 10 and later
Solution
To run "ipconfig" to find network setup information, start from the desktop on the computer.
- Open the start menu
- Type "CMD" to search for command prompt.
- Make sure "Command Prompt" is selected
- Click open
- In Command Prompt, type "ipconfig" and hit enter to run the command
After running the "ipconfig" command, the network settings of each adapter on the computer will be displayed, make note of the settings for the network connection of the local network.
